Minutes for first (UN)officially official meeting on September 9, 2011.
An official tally of members was established, and policies and books were discussed. Information was gathered and drinks were had and chili was consumed. A splendid time was had by all.
All in attendance were myself, Joey Hoover, Matt Wagner, Dave Mericle, Hilary Vandyke, Joe Martin, Nick Martin (playing the role of Matt Lucas), and we were later joined by Clayton Miller. Leslie Cramer was also in attendance, but not participating in the club activities.
A contact information sheet was passed around, also with a section for listing “favorite” author, book and genre respectively. Available times for group meetings were discussed. No plans for a next meeting were made.
BOOK #1 was chosen to be Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. Missie will purchase enough books for members off of half.com and it was decided we will split said cost evenly amongst each other. An official tally was taken of people requiring a copy of the book.
A way in which to come to agreement on following reads has yet to be established.
